South Africa is home to many game parks with beautiful sceneries and animals which allows us to give guests a wide variety of options when it comes to our Safari Tours, you will have an opportunity to cuddle and feed some of the animals. Please note some parks are situated 30 minutes to an hour away from Joburg depending on which park you choose. please enquire beforehand.

A 45 minute drive from Joburg is the Lion Park. Enjoy the scenic drive to the outskirts of the city and appreciate the big cats. We drive in our own vehicle to see the lions in their natural environment. In addition to the famous white lion there are also cheetah and wild dog. Other animals include giraffe, wildebeest, zebra and a variety of antelope: springbok, impala, blesbok, & gemsbok. At the end of our drive, you will have the opportunity to have your photograph taken holding a lion cub and there is often the opportunity to feed members of the local giraffe family. Refreshments and gifts are sold on the premises.

The park is about 1,5 hours north-west of Jo’burg. A mini safari tour.  The Ann Van Dyk Cheetah Centre was established in 1971, initially as a cheetah breeding project but wild dog and other animals are now also bred. Guided tours give fascinating insights into breeding programmes and wildlife conservation. You will have the opportunity of seeing the rare king cheetah. You can have your photograph taken with a cheetah. There is a gift shop available on the premises.

A visit to the Pilanesberg Game Reserve is a must. It is approximately 2:30 hour’s drive from Jo’burg, it is the fourth largest game park in South Africa, is home to the big 5 as well as giraffe, zebra, hippos and crocodiles and many antelope species. There are excellent bird watching opportunities with over 300 species having been recorded in the area. PICK-UP TIME: 7:30 to 17:00

A visit to the Rhino Park offers the opportunity to see many of Africa’s wild animals within an hour’s drive of Johannesburg. Located in the Cradle of Humankind this nature reserve is home to over 600 head of game. You can see over 30 species of game, including 3 of the big 5, cheetah, wild dog, hippo, crocodile and more than 20 species of antelope. There is also a vulture hide which provides excellent photo opportunities. Should you be interested you can have your photograph taken with a lion cub. Nearby are the Wonder Caves which are but one of the many fossil-bearing cave series in the Cradle of Humankind. The dolomitic hills in this area are 2.6bn years old – more than half the age of the Earth itself.

At the Elephant Sanctuary a sanctuary guide will takes us on an educational tour and talks to us about elephant life in the park. You will be able to touch and walk with one of these magnificent giants. You will also have the opportunity to feed them. Elephants have a remarkable connection with people providing great opportunities for taking pictures. Many clients have commented on what a life-time experience this is. Refreshments and gifts are available at the gift shops on the premises.
